Is it 22 July yet? V-Bagger
Really looking forward to see what the 09 line has to offer.
I was wondering if any of you in the touring forum have ridden a V-bagger and how you thin it compares to your FLH ride? \\; It seems there are more and more people who are converting their V-Rods into baggers... either via a Road Glide fairing or some sort of batwing fairing/windshield combo. \\; How does the ride compare? Is it lighter overall than a FLH bagger? Is it possible to make the passenger as comfortable on a V-Bagger as say on a Heritage, RK or SG?
I haven't ridden a V-Rod, but the idea intrigues me considering all the rumors of a water cooled bagger coming out in 09.

I've been thinking about this as well. One drawback I see to putting the v-rod engine into a bagger is torque. The v-rod has less torque and it doesn't max out until 7k rpm vs 3.5k rpm for the bagger. Resulting in a totally different riding style and experience. That doesn't mean that HD couldn't rework or tweak the engine to change this.
