Default RE: LED Brakelight/Turn Conversion

I upgraded all my lights to LED....Brake and Running lights all operate now as one. Multi select flasher unit pulses (strobe effect) my brake lights approx. every 3 seconds while the brakes are applied. I put white lenses on everything. Great visiblility improvement and have had many tell me how visible the lights are from the rear. If I knew how to attach pictures I would put a couple on here...but I don't how to do that....[sm=imsorry.gif]

All my stuff came from "Custom Dynamics" that advertises on this forum!

What Kess said. Harley setup works good. LEDs still alittle expensive for my taste.

I just installed HD #69461-06 (so new it's not in the data base yet for online searches). It is a rear directional conversion kit, turning the rear directionals into running/brake/turn signal lights, $46.00. It fits '96 - later Softail models and '97 - later Touring models equipped with original equipment flat lens style turn signals. Does not fit with narrow chrome directional bar p/n 68611-98. It's a simple plug-in installation and comes with replacement red lenses. Got mine at my local dealer. Chicago HD has it too.

What i did, and this might not be for everyone, is rewire my rear Turns to function as break lights. I bought some front bullets off ebay, as they havethe duel filiment wiring. Then i added red rear lenses and viola. I tried the LED bulbs in the rear, they look great, but flashed a bit too fast so i replaced them with regular bulbs. you can add a load equalizer that will fix this problem, or so ive been told. In the do it yourself help forums there are two great links for wiring, if you want ot do it yourself without spending $$$ on a harley kit. Although i know some people prefer to keep there wiring stock and use a plug in adapter. Just another idea, good luck!

Mchacon: with the bullet lights i added rear red lenses, but i dont think kury or harley makes a kit specificaly for bullets, unless you want to get some kury bullets.

Question? On the Kuryakyn Panacea light setup, can you still french the lights? The trim rings sit in a small recess in the stock lenses.

Bit the bullet last night and bought the complete Kuryakyn LED setup front and rear. While I said I was going to buy from Custom Dynamics, I called M&M Cycles instead last night. Waiting will be hard, since I was told not to expect until next Thursday, but its sunny and in the mid 60's here..........anybody want to guess where I'll be

Guess that just gives me an excuse to call Custom Dynamics for something else.

gotta agree with the Kurykyn unit.
I went with the Kurykyn license plate relo to below the taillight also, really cleans up my rear!
Used Silver Bullet halogen for rear turn signals to complement the front turn signals (HD #69227-04)
