Looking to get a tourer as my current FSDBI gets pretty chilly on very cold days. Which is the best value. Is the major difference the trim and ride height?

The Street Glide is about looks.
I went back and forth for weeks. Go with what your heart tells you. I knew the Classic made more sense, especially as I wanted a tour pak, but I wanted the clean fenders, and one color paint of the SG.
BTW, Ive tried it both ways.

\\;I went with the EGC because of the Features and added items, I know the SG is a Best Seller for HD but if you are going to add the Tour Pack it makes sense to get the EGC. Mine came with Cruise, Security, ABS, Driver Backrest, Chrome Luggage Rack on Tour Pack and Leather Windshield Pouch. I Love it and will not Look Back, Just My \\;.02 cents worth.

Better value if you are looking strictly for function is the EG Classic. Myself I went for looks first and function second. My Street Glide became a Street Glide Classic.
Had an 06 SG so I knew I already loved the look. Traded it in on a Road Glide which wasn't for me. But I knew when I decided to trade back to a batwing that I wanted a tour pak, passing lamps and passenger floorboards. Adding those as opposed to stripping and replacing parts on the EGC was the cheaper route for me.
