Arrow Primary oil change

How much oil are you putting in the 6 speed primary? Do you actually put 38oz in or just the 32oz bottle.

I dump in a quart, and that's good enough for it.

I do what the book says 38 ozs. I'm not sure why you would do anything differently. HD's been making these scoots for a long time and if they publish all these fluid/air #'s in the owners/service manuals why wouldn't you go by what they say !!! Just my opinion.

I don't measure the oil I put in the Primary. With bike upright, fill until level is at the bottom of cluth - like the picture in the service manual shows.

Well, if you buy two quarts... you dump one in, and then 6 more ounces. Next change, you only have to buy one quart.. you still have the partial quart..

I am getting ready to do a primary oil change on my 04 RK... not sure what oil I am going to use though.

I do 38 oz.
I also use HD primary/trans fluid, after all it is nothing but an oil bath.
I tried the HD syn. 3 but it appears it caused a leak.
just my thoughts.
