Zumo 550 wired to the ACC switch on the fairing works great.

The RT "Conquest" does come preloaded with ALL the maps and Harley dealer locator. The cheaper RT "Quest" does not have them preloaded and will not hold all maps at once. If you do get the Garmin RT Conquest be sure to check the map version when you get it. If it's not the latest 2009 V9 you need to down load it from the Garmin site within the first 30 days after registering it or else you will have to pay $75 later to upgrade to latest maps.

I have wired, using the Harley Mount, the RT Quest to my Road Glide and just wired it to the wifes 03 EG Classic. It is very easy and takes about an hour to install

Thank You for that info LPFRAY, I have read more about the installation of the Harley mount and it does not seem like something I couldn't do. Its just getting that drill out and going to work on my new baby, you know kinda like getting the pliers out and pulling that bad tooth, oh thats right I paid a stranger to do that for me!

Thanks Cruise, I have decided to get the Garmin Quest-2. Its a lot cheaper off the net, no need in paying extra $$$s just to have all the harley dealers waypointed. I can just ride around the counrty and stop at all the Harley dealers and waypoint them myself!

I had mine hard wired for a while and didn't like it. When it rains or when I washed the bike I always had to protect the cord with a ziplock bag or something. I replaced the cigarette lighter with with a BMW (powerlet) adapter and now I just have to plug it in. Looks clean when the GPS is not mounted. If you smoke then that won't work for you. But if you don't, it is alot better than dealing with the cord when washing, etc.
