Rethy,
Not all parts are listed in the Drag book, online.
I tried to find it earlier, too.
It's in there...the 2008 Fatbook.
I ordered one...my buddy ordered one...this year.
Matter fact, mine is only 3 months old.

I gave the correct part numbers straight from the box.

Stop by your Indy tomorrow. Look in their book wherever "oil filter housings" is located.

If you'll go to M&M Cycles website... www.mandmcycles.com and enter the Drag number in his online catalog, it'll pull up.

This is what pulled up for me.....

The oil in contact with the "cooling pan" tends to stay in contact with the pan as opposed to the hot oil going past it and right back into the oil pick up without coming in contact with the "cooling pan".

I'd just get a cooler with a thermostat and call it good.
Agreed, its aready going to have over 4qts in it stock and thats sufficient and wasting $ trying to add another quart is not necessary. I wouldnt to the crash bar conversion unless you completely burnish the inside with smooth surfaces, its the venting to a finned unit that allows heat to be expelled. Resist the temptation to circulate oil thru a non prepared vortex without proper preparation first......good luck

Cracks me up what people will spend and do in the search for the almighty oil-peace-of-mind. Since this thread is 4 years old I wonder why none of them came back and told us what great karma they received from changing oil pans?

another question is what is the quality of the interior of the crash bar? i've never looked inside one, but i've heard it's not the best environment for oil thats gonna be circulating through your engine. left over mfg crap, etc.....
