Definitely leather for that bike as it is now. If you ever change to a more modern customizing job with fancy paint then definitely hard. Nice bike!

I'm a hard bag fan myself, and ride a FLHR the same color as yours with the laced wheels (NWS tires however). I think your bike looks great both ways and since you have both sets of bags you can change as you please.

I recently took a long road trip with my buddy who has a Classic like yours. We had a lot of rain, and I really appreciated my dry hard bags vs. his somewhat wet leather ones.

Keep them both!

I put hardbags on my RKC several years ago and love them for more than one reason.

I like the look of the leather on your bike, but especially like the white wall tires. It's a cassy look.

BTW...Does anyone know if the bag mounting brackets are the same for both style of bag?

I had to elongate the bolt hole on the rear brackets in order to get them high enough for the hard bags to line up. I'd have figured that both bags would have their holes in the same place...

The brackets generally need just a smidge of adjusting to swap between bags. No big deal, lust leave the brackets barely loose...just enough to move them with you fingertips.

I'm a hard bag fan, I got tired of the brake dust and road grime getting in the bags. Not to mention the water and then there is the care of the leather. Good looking scoot BTW
