I bought the plans also but just too expensive to purchase the materials. Good job on the lift.

Hey, nice lift..real sturdy looking? You did a great job. Nice ride too..Your son is going to be a lucky boy someday with that!!

BTW..did you consider a rear wheel drop panel when building it?

I didn't at the time, but that would be a nice addition.

Nice job! Thinking of doing that same mod (air over hydraulic ram). Where did you get yours, and what did it cost?

Thanks,
Resto

Yes..Almost everything is welded solid.

It not too bad a job if you are handy with metal work. You would need a metal cut-off saw, welder, grinder, clamps, ect.

Those air-over hydraulic 8 ton rams are on sale at HF right now. http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/cta...emnumber=94562
Sale might end today, I'm not sure. I just bought one for $59.99. I let them stick me with a $12 2-year warranty. I'm building a log splitter with mine.

I got it at a local hrdw/tool store here in my area, it was $100.00. I dont remember how long the ram was Im thinking 30" ..... if the ones mentioned from HF are that long then thats a good deal. If you still need me to check out the brand and length let me know and I'll try and get you the info.
