Wow, you'll have some killer lookin' scoots. My job isn't going to be nearly as extravagant. I know exactly what he's doing, but i'm keeping all the plans to myself until it's completed except for the few individuals that are helping me reassemble everything and powder my chrome parts...

Thanks for pics. Others keep 'em coming!!

[QUOTE=Chicago Spike;4058488]My paint job consisted of painting 35 seperate parts, including turn sinals, license plate frome&bracket, inner fairing and speedo nacelles, ignition switch, dash and fuel door and all the body parts and spoilers. The graphics alone took the artist, Steve, 2 weeks to do all the small details, shadowing, edging and all that. The cost was under what it should have been, but friends do things for friends so it was $6,000.

Very nice ride! Did you have to strip the chrome from the chrome parts before painting or was the painter able to get the paint to adhere to the chome; if so what kind of primer did he use?

Thanks! They bead-blasted the chrome off before painting, after that just regular primer.

$3000 includes paint on the fairing, front fender, tank, side covers, saddlebags, tour pack....dual flame job with inlayed shamrock graphics, pearl green base flame with a chamealon ghost flame over it the chamealon changes as you walk around bike and your angle changes...blue to purple to copper...dis-assembly and re-assembly included..

This an older pic...changes were made to the bike after, but you get an idea on the paint...

This was my first attempt at custom painting. I most enjoyed learning how to use the House of Kolors paints and supplies. Cost of paint job including spray equipment and airbrush... about 900 dollars.
