Just snagged a "new' FXRG leather midwieght jacket off of eBay.....
....for $350 and had a question. Although the jacket is new it was stored in a house where the owner smoked and I would like to get rid of the smell of cigarette smoke. I am mildly allergic to cigarette smoke. The jacket it in mint condition and would like to keep it that way

I bought a HD leather jacket off e-bay as well. I tried everything including putting it in the dryer with a wet towel and numerous fabric softeners to try to get the smell out (some cure I read about somewhere). Anyway, I finally left it hanging in a screened in porch for about a year, I can now wear it and not get that allergic, crawley skin feeling I did when I recieved it. The cleaners would not promise that they could do me any good and it was too expensive to find out. Good luck!

Try this one I read about: Take a long sleeve t-shirt and spray it liberally with Febreeze or similar freshening product. Spray on a good dose but not to the point of making the shirt wet.
Hang the shirt on a PLASTIC hanger. Metal will rust.
Hang the jacket over the t-shirt on the same hanger but do not zip or button it.
Place a garbage over over the whole deal with only the top of hanger protruding thru.
Tie off the bottom of the bag and hang somehwere where it will hang freely. Not crammed into a overly stuffed closet.
Leave it hanging for at least 2 weeks.
P.S. What the heck. Throw some of them charcoal brickets in as well. Couldn't hurt.

I purchased a ebay ashtray leather jacket. It smelt so bad that friends of mine that smoked could tolerate the smell. I hung it outdoors for a week (didnt work) I hand washed it with hot water. didnt help. I dumped a large box of baking soda on it, rubbed it in THEN hung it in a plastic bag with the baking soda inside, for a week. helped some. Next I put in the dryer (no heat) with dryer sheets wrapped around half a dozen tennis *****. This trick elimiated about 95% of the order. I would advise putting tape on any metal zippers as the dryer action could chip the paint/finish off any metal surfaces. Its a cheap fix. In the end I ended up selling the jacket because it was too snug.
