everyone seems to be rating the ride of a RG 09 version with an older model SG...

how about an 09 SG vs an 09 RG

eh.. heheh

I wouldn't trade to an 09 RG even if you paid off my 09 SG... hehe

Recovering Batwing-aholic here. Once I was clean and sober, I really began to appreciate what a great bike the RG is.

Enjoy the new ride. My wife always says one of the best things about listing to me and my friends talk is how guys always justify every thing they buy. I have rode both. Guess what they have different fairings, but I still think my Chevrolet is better then your piece of crap GMC

I ride the '09 RG for fun and the E-Glide for work. Just went through a 2-day recertification and felt like I was turning a school bus with all the extra weight on the handlebars ! In all candor, they're all great looking bikes but, for long distance touring, there's no comparison. The shark nose is sleeker and makes riding in windy conditions much more enjoyable (i.e. stable). Of course, I could borrow the wife's broom, get my knees in the breeze and be just as content, ha! Welcome to the club! Next time you get 'down south' I'll share the handshake with ya!!

For me it's the handle bar is higher and easily adjustable.

But for me the ride on the RG is better, handles better

Well, there's goes another one. The old adage "To each his own" certainly applies here.
