Default Analog type oil temp dipstick gauge ??

I have an '05 RK Classic. I'm looking for an oil dipstick temperature gauge like the ones often seen offered for Softail models. I know about the digital gauge, but I'd really rather have the "needle" type analog gauge. Does anyone know of such an animal? Can't seem to find one anywhere. Any help would be appreciated.

As far as I know, no one makes an analog one for the baggers. I've tried to find one a few years back and no one had it. Let me know if you do find one though.

Thanks,
Kahuna

I have the LCD digital temp gauge.

After replacing the battery and plugging the switch in properly, it works fine now!

JMO.

The new one with the oil level looks decent....but how pratical?

I actually bought one of these and personally, I find it far more practical for the oil level check than for checking the oil temp. After all, how are you going to safely check the oil temp while moving? On the other hand, being able to get a quick check of the level without having to pull the stick is very handy. The only caveat is that you won't get an accurate level reading unless the oil temp is at warm (>160 degrees) and the bike has been on the jiffy stand for about 4-5 minutes. I'm assuming this is due to the oil having to run down the stick and settle into the sump. In any event, I'm happy with it (so far).

"Jes Custom Accents" not only sells an analog thermometer / dipstick for touring bikes but he also has a smaller analog version for your transmission. For about the cost of a digital thermometer from your dealer you buy both analog versions which can be read from the saddle. I have dealt with him & I would not hesitate to deal recommend him. Very accommodating & extremely fast delivery.

Same guy as above. Great price I think. Haven't tried one yet though. I have an oil cooler so I am not to sure if this is something to burn a hundred buck on..

This JES temp gauge full scales at 300*F. It's that enough? Stock gauges reach well above 350*F. Or at 300*F the bike melts?
