I think the new stage IV kit (with the CNC ported heads and 259 cams) is a good upgrade package. The previous iteration, with 260 cams and 110+ heads would not be something I'd be interested in. If I hadn't put together a 107 package for my bike, I would have used the stage IV kit.
I just did the stage 3 kit which is the same as the stage 4 minus the heads. I wouldn't consider the power "dormant" or unusable in any way. But then again I don't have a rocking chair mounted up for a seat either but to each their own.
Hey guys, do you need to have your cases bored on a stock 103" 2012 street glide to fit the 113" stage IV kit?
Cheers
yes..but I wouldn't go that route...I would buy a new case which comes 4.060 drilled for 113 and lefty bearing and T bearing all installed for the wopping price of 600 and change. you can sell your existing case on ebay for almost that any day of the week. end result would be case drilled for 113, lefty and T bearing, with little money out of your pocket once you sell your existing case.
I just did the Stage IV on my 2011 Ultra. I already had the FulSac header pipe and the TTS MasterTune. I ended up with 118 hp and 116 ft lb torque. I have the 4" Rineharts and am changing them this week to the Vance & Hines 4 1/2" Hi Output slip ons. Could give an extra boost to the numbers. I am more than pleased with the Stage IV kit and the results.
