Default Passenger question-chopped or full tour pack backrest?

I need some passenger input. What is more comfortable from a passenger perspective: The full wrap around backrest with arms or the chopped tour pack backrest? I'm putting a tour pack on my bike but am not sure if I want to go with the King pack or the Chopped. I want my wife comfortable but she doesn't want ot look like some old lady on the back of my bike..She's not sure if she'll like the full wrap around backrest of the King tour pack. I think thats the one that would be more comfortbale but thats whjy Im asking here.

I have had them both over time and even thou the chopped
tour pack is comfortable vs. nothing or just a sissy bar. The wife
likes the wrap full size better because she is able to have
an arm rest. I only had the chopped for a short period
of time because what you will miss is the storage capabilty.
Not only luggage space but a place to secure your helments
if you get in a spot that you think that it's needed.
Ride safe and good luck in your decision.

If you are going to do it, go all the way and get the King Tour Pak, with the full-sized back rest.

My wife's used sissybars and backrests but says nothing's better than the wrap around backrest on the king tour-pak.

We rented bikes with both so that the wife could see which she liked. We ended up with the Ultra Classic with the full wrap. She said it was so much more comfortable and she felt like she could even relax more with the full wrap.

Or think outside the box and go with a chopped tour pak and the king backrest. Below is a pic from a guy on the CVO forum that did just that.

Agree, but you'll still miss the additional storageMy opinion.

Well, I thought long and hard, and finally decided on space... important especially if you are two up and you are trying to make your wife comfortable. She will want to pack some extra gear. If I were you I'd look at the King and the Mustang seat. I bought the King and installed the lights then bought the Mustang seat because its arms are actually a bit longer and therefore more comfortable. Mustang also has a firm mounting system. Best in deciding.

I would have thought I would have prefered the chopped tour pak but my husband bought the king tour pak with arm rest back rest and I have to admit, it is far more comfortable than the little flat back rest pad that was on chopped tour pak. I may ride behind him more often now

She'll like it, don't worry about that. She is your ole lady.
