Default SE Comp

Do a search and you will find a lot of information regarding the SE compensator. I was going to change mine, then I put an IDS on which took care of the primary drive issue I had.

Happy New Year!

I just did mine during a engine upgrade and have not ridden it yet but after seeing it, the stock one is very wimpy compared to the s/e unit. Mike

Default wimpy stock compensator

By the looks of the upgrade compensator in the SE catalog, the stock unit looks pretty cheesy by comparison.I can hear mine clacking every time I start the bike plus if you match the throtttle to the load you can feel and hear it loading and unloading, just aint right.Rode a friends o2 roadking prior to buying the 07,no such phenomenon with that bike. Its not reallly an issue ,just a minor annoyance.I have to wonder what kind of morons they have test riding these bikes prior to making them production models.Didnt they notice this crap or is it just when they go into mass production that these flaws show up.What with the heat issues, the whining trans and the engine clattering, what were they thinking? This is great?I have to do the 10k service so Im looking for a reason to yank off the inner primary and do chrome,so why not do the compensator while im at it and button it up and forget it.
