Default synthetic oil

What is the best synthetic oil for harleys? I was running royal purple in my dyna. I traded for a 2000 road king. I had the 15000 mile checkup done at the time i bought the king. The dealer put there oil in it. I want to go synthetic. But not sure what brand to use.

Opinion:
AMSoil, Redline, RoyalPurple are all A-OK.

Sync3 is best for engines that are not mine.

Mobile 1 has been great in my cars... Wife's car was scoped about 1 1/2 years ago after VW recalled the 1.8 turbos for oil sludge buildup caused by dyno. We were using Mobil 1, no sludge found. VW recommended all their turbo vehicles use only synthetic oils. So, I stick w/it in my scoot.

Never Syn3... Even HD mechs don't recommend it...

Mobile 1 synthetic for me. Both car and bike ... never any issues. Although I seriously doubt you'd have any issues using any oil providing you're changing regularily. That's what's important.

Amsoil is what I use but most of the "Name Brands" are going to be fine. Use what is available to you. Do your own research and see what you are comfortable with.
