SE 255 cams vs SE 204 cams??

Stock cams.
Intake timing 12/30
Exhaust timing 38/04
Duration 198/222
That's the stock profile for '07-'08; maybe different or '11 but I doubt it. That's typical of an EPA cam profile. Compare the valve timing events and duration with a "hotter" cam and you will see the difference.

The 255's come stock in the limited.

As has been stated here a few times knowing your own personal riding style is very important. I had originally loved the idea of the 255's and their strength at very low rpm's but when I actually paid attention to my tach I realized I was hardly ever below 2500 and often above 3000rpm which made the 255's not the best choice for me. Loaded, 2 up, even with a cam that works well at under 2500 when ya open the throttle to pass that truck you're at 3000 almost right away and a cam that pulls later and longer and keeps the HP up not just TQ is gonna work well.

thats exactly why i went with the 204's, and it was a nice choice (for my style of riding).
and no there is nothing wrong with an EPA approved cam if it fits what you want, just stating that it was after reading the previous comments.

The reason I asked is because I have this reoccurring dream of the SE204 for my Dyna, but I have a set of CVO 255s sitting on my table.
When logging my riding style it seems that I stay around 2500 when cruising, and when a roll on to WOT in 4th gear I am @ 95 mph at 4890 RPM, but I have an issue with the tall 1st gear. I regularly have to stop on hills, and do not like the drawn out take-offs. I am torn on this issue. Almost to the point of just staying stock, and selling the CVO 255s, and saying the hell with it. I'll just ride the bike till it will not run anymore. Of course I am not going to stop maintenance, etc... This thread is very interesting to me.

There's been quite a few threads on this. The cams in the limited are the exact same part number as the cams in the 96. The 110 CVOs have the 255s. An after the fact stage two 103 kit can have the 255 cams, but NOT the stock limited. Dawg has verified that more than once.....
