Default Old Harley Horns

What kind of horns used to be on the old Dressers. They looked like a horn sticking straight out forward from behind or under the air cleaner or on the other side of the engine sometimes. I'm thinking of Pan Heads and Shovel Heads. Were they air horns or electric or what?

The horn I am speaking of is right under her ... front foot.

Electric horn. The yellow bike is a 1956 like I had. The red bike is a 1967 I put air horns under the right saddlebag, and the blue one is 1965 like I had. It probably was the first year of the cowbell horn. Not sure.

goodbirds is right about the horn being electric I had a 53 and a 60 that had that horn.
the electric part was on the left side and the trumpet came around to the right between
the cyclinders.

I'm sure that the EPA standards for horns is keeping loud horns off bikes now a days.
