Default Throttle grip removal 09 Touring bikes?

Could not find a thread in the how to section, has anybody removed and put on new grips with the electronic throttle and was there any problems. I have not seen the instructions yet that come with the grips. Thanks for any help.

They are extremely easy. You just cut the left grip off and slide the new one on and use the switch housing to hold it in place. The throttle all you have to do is slide it right off real easy cus there is a lil gear is what it looks like to me at the end of the grip. if it sticks in the end of the throttle sleeve you are post to use a screw drive to pop it out. i didn't have to do that when i did mine. and then slide the new grip on and check to make sure the it will snap back in place when you twist the the grip. then enjoy.

Thanks, I took the two screws out and lifted the top part way off, but the bottom half did not give way much. Did you loosen the mounting screws for the brake moount?

I have an '08 and had to loosen the brake mount torx to get enough play to slip off the throttle grip.
