Default what can you guys tell me about the 2004 Road King Custom

I am in the market for a bike. Saw a used Road King Custom and was impressed by its beauty. Any reflections on the 04? It has about 20,000 miles on it but is very clean and without visible wear and tear.

I have an 05 and love mine. The 04 to 06 were pretty much the same bike. I like the fact you can put on a windshield for long cruises, and then take off when you just want to blast around time.

Traded in my Night Train and could not have been happier.

As for price, hard telling in these times. I bought mine with less than 5K out the door last year for less than 15,000.

Hope this helps.

I can tell you that I absolutely luv mine. It's been very dependable and fun as hell.

2 miles to town or 200 miles to the beach...it's all good.

If you get one, heads up on service bulletin #M-1170 about the correct torque on the 'compensator nut'. Mine failed during a dyno run but I havent heard of any others.

fair price?? I reckon that depends on how much ya want it !! LMAO

Awesome bike! I have an 07 with the 6 speed and 96 inch but other wise same bike. The custom is a unique bike that is not made anymore and I don`t see too many around. At home either on long runs or just around town, great looks and just a tad different right off the showroom floor. I thought I wanted a nightrain till I sat on the Custom, no regrets, happy as can be. I knew it was the right bike as soon as I saw it. Get what you want, don`t settle. You'll know the right bike when you see it. Good luck.

I, like all above love mine! I have 23K trouble free miles on mine... I recently put my leather bags back on, and it looks great... You don't really see too many of them, and thats a good thing... I don't think you could go wrong... as for prcie....somehere in the 12K range maybe??? Haven't really been shopping so I'm not to certain. Good luck!

I have a 2004 and I sometimes think about a new Street Glide, but I really don't want to let the Custom go. It is a beautiful bike - so beautiful I have left mine stock. For current market prices check Chopper Trader on-line.

Good luck!
