Default Fairing Insert / Console Painting

I like how on the CVO Ultra the fairing insert / console color matches the bike instead of just flat black.

Has anyone ever tried to remove it and paint it themselves?

Is there a kit to replace the fairing insert with a painted one?

Look in the paint section of your HD accessories catalog.
It's called inner fairing

You can buy it painted from Harley for about $600, or Take it off and have it painted, but the bike is down while you do this. I bought a Takeoff from a local guy (plenty of them on ebay) and had it painted for about $100. Guys on here have been paying between $100 -$125 to have it done. Took a few hours to do the swap out myself, did a few other things at the same time. Looks great and worth doing.

Just did mine last week, not a bad job. Manual is really good on this. I bought a used inner faring and switch cap for around $100 and it cost me $150 to get it painted.
