Find out why the brake light is coming on. That will kick your cruise off.

i had a lot of problems with the CC on my 06 UC. it would not hold a speed, in fact after going up hill, it would accelerate on level road. likewise, after going downhill it would decel on the level. the dealer replaced the electronic control unit after 3 times in the shop. On the 4th service, they decided the ECM was bad, but my bike was a week or so out of warranty; HD had me pay $100 to replace the unit! that wasn't the "right thing to do!", but it's better than me picking up the whole tab...

Have you checked the switch that activates your brakelight with the front brakes? More importantly, have you taken apart your right-side controls lately? It's a common problem for people to not use the 5/8" cardboard (or the fat end of a wire tie) when taking apart the right-side controls. If you took it apart lately, you may have broken the switch when putting it back together.

Common issue, easy fix. Hopefully that's all that it is for you.

The crusie will not work if the brakes are used or in your case with the light staying on it thinks the brakes are applied -- fix the brake light and I'll bet your crusie works fine.

When my CC didn't work last year, the cause was a shot rear brake light switch.

I have a 2007 Electra glide and trying to find out whats going on with my Cruise Control. It just will not work, since I got it out of storage, and I tried reading the Codes and would not flash any codes. Does anyone have anything else I need to check into? I also have a engine light that comes on and goes off when it wants too. Any Help will be helpful
Thanks
