Default Road Glide & Electra Glide standard discontinued

Was at my dealer today and the general manager told me that the Road Glide is being cancelled for 2010 and (he thinks) is being replaced with an ultra version and the Electra Glide standard is gone to. Also Black Pearl is no longer a color option for 2010.
Don't flame me, just tellin what I was told.

Seems like the companies are all slimming down their line up for 2010 to include the car companies. Wonder if it has something to do with the financial state of the world. Was reading the HD Financial reports a few months ago while taking an accounting class (used HD as the example company for my reports and essays)where they said that due to the over whelming number of used bikes out there, that they were going to slow down production of new bikes to raise the demand of their models.

No dealer 'knows' what MoCo HQ will do until the 3rd Tuesday in July @ Noon Eastern, when the next year's lineup is unveiled. Any 'scuttlebutt' he may have heard is worth only what you paid for it and nothing more.

Not surprising to begin hearing 'stories' about the next year's lineup already...

Exactly! Dealers Do Not Know until the dealer show in July.

Dealers get info from other places. I know i have heard 4 new name bikes for next year... Doesn't mean its a new model all together but a twist. Like the IRon 883 but there are at least 4 new names coming in the next year...

they are not going to stop making touring bikes.... if anything it will be some other part of the line. think about it, when you go to the dealer what is the majority of bike s you see in the parking lot?
