are the brake lines and wires, too short?

You can get all the cables and wiring extensions from Johnny Vaughn @ hdbikeparts.com
He also carries wild 1 bars. They have 14in and 12.5in ape hangers for baggers.

love the look of them apes, just have to be careful of not going to high especially in daytona and sturgis is cracking down also.

Ive never had any legal troubles with mine, if you are tall enough they shoudl be right at shoulder hight, so they dont break ***** too bad
