I want to adjust my bars. I am no mechanic but I will give it a shot. I see the two screws that I need to remove to get the fairing cap off. But how do I get past the ignition? Or is there another way to adjust the bars?
Thanks
Eric
There's no way to get the cap off without removing the ing switch. If you just want to pull your bars back a little try taking the outer fairing off and loosen up the front bolts on the handle bar clamp. The two closest to the inner fairing can be a bear to get to because of the limited space between the fairing and the top of the screws. You may have to remove the radio to really get to them
To get your ignition switch off, turn the switch all the way to the right, to the acc position. There is a small button on the bottom of the switc, push the button up while lifting on the ignition. Shold come right out.

I think the key has to actually be IN the ignition as well...

Hmm, always taken mine out turned to the left, does this work better?

If you use the "search" feature and type the key words in 'fairing cap removal' and also 'fork oil change' and 'ignition switch removal' there is more than enough info to help you with removal and installation of fairing cap.....

My bad, I stand corrected. (it's been awhile). I just ran down and tried mine, turn switch to the fork lock position, with key in push up on button and turn key to the left, should lift right out.
