Default PCV installed & bike wont start!

I had mentioned this in my post about installing my pipes but wanted to start a new thread regarding this since it may get lost under a different topic. I installed my Rinehart TD's, stage 1 cleaner and retrofit power commander V and now the bike wont start. It cranks but wont turn over. Any ideas?

is there a map in the pc5? when you hook it to your computer is there tables that come up?

double check your connections to make sure everything is making contact.

yeah, it showed the map table.

we disconnected it and reinstalled it a few times....this should eliminate the loose connection theory, right?

My bud says that he has to start his as soon as he flips the run switch. He says that if he waits till the fuel pump stopps ticking then his won't start either. Try turning on the ignition swithc then as soon as you flip the run switch to run,hit the starter button right away. Hope this helps.

i dont have that issue with mine, although it does crank maybe .5 seconds less if i hit start before the engine light goes out.

OP- unfortunately it sounds like your pc5 may be messed up.

It is a bad connection, especially if it is a 08 or 09. Just went through the same thing with a friend and his bike, his bike would only run on one cylinder. He bought the PC V from Jamie @ fuelmoto and he said he has seen this before that the wiring harnesses on these year bikes are really sensenitve. Said that he has had them returned by customers and they worked on his bike and then sent them to dynojet and they didn't work on their bike. In our case he replaced the unit promptly and the new unit worked perfectly. First class customer service. A map can't be screwed up enough to have the bike not run at all, just won't run the way it is supposed to.

soooooo.......if the connection is really sensitive, does that mean it may lose contact while riding someday? I plan on calling Fuel Moto tech support later today when I get a chance.

Sounds like a defective PC. You've eliminated the connections as possible issue, so replacing the PC is next.
