Default Anyone have this problem with the Road 6 Customs lowering kit

I have 09 Ultra with Front-end lowered using lowering springs from HD dealer. The attached pictures are the Road 6 Customs lowering kit with the stock 13" air shock on the first hole of of the kit which is 1". Notice how the rubber boot of the shock is pinched between the shock and the mounting bolt on the lowering bracket.

Am I doing something wrong????

Don.t know for sure, but it doesn't look good for the air shock. Right kit for the bike?

I had the same problem on an 08 road glide. The kit did not fit.

It's junk.

Yeah about all of them do that. I have the same kit as you on the same bike. No problems with it "touching". After 10K miles.

After about 50K miles it may become a problem...who knows? I consider the lowering kit a cheap fix. Later down the road I'll end put just getting shorter shocks - if I keep the bike that long...

It looks like they are going to touch, no doubt. If you were to replace the hex head bolt with a Grade 8 Socket Head Cap Screw (SHCS) , you would at least eliminate the sharp edges and might have less interference. The diameter of the SHCS will be less than the major dimension of the hex head and will be smooth and round.
