What would cause a new-ish bike to suddenly stall?
I have an 09 RKC purchased new is 10/2008. It now has just under 5000 miles on it... Yesterday afternoon on my way home from work, I was stopped at a red light when my bike just stalled. It's never done that before, and it's always run great... While at the stop light, it went from idling perfectly to nothing at all. When it stalled it did not spit 'n' sputter at all, just completely died. It did however start right back up, and has run perfectly since.
Just wondering what would cause that to happen? Just for reference, it happened at about 2:30pm when it was about 90* outside. I had been riding it for about 1 mile before it happened.

Did you just fill it up by any chance? I had a 2001 Road King (fuel injected) that died several times, even at speed after a fill once. After about 20 miles it stopped and never did it again. All I can think of was that I overfilled and it didn't have enough air in the tank for the gas to flow.

Yes, I had filled it up the evening before. At the time that it stalled, I probably had 30 miles since fill-up... And when I filled it up, it was REALLY full, like just above the plate in the filler neck. Hmmm, can't understand why this would cause it to stall though.
