Default Road Glide is discontinued after 2009

whats going on with the Road Glide being discontinued. There will be "NO" 2010 model ...HD is crazy to get rid of one of the most wanted bikes out there. I was looking to buying one. So if I want a new one I am forced to buy now. What are they thinking..

They are probably just only getting rid of the designation...going with a minor re-style and will re-name it! you'll find Harley does that every few years to their line!

+1 You're probably right on the Tour Glide or something like that!

+1 To knowing the Street Glide is THE most popular model! Road Glide is the best riding...but not the most popular!

Ride safe, Mike

Rumor is, the Road Glide will be replace with one like it, only with lowers and a top case, like an Ultra.

But that's just a rumor. I heard it here, though, and the guy that said it had slept at Holiday Inn, so it must be true.

the old tour glide was just an ultra with the sharknose. theyll get more $for it that way and the everloyal rg riders will have to pay the price since the rg wont be there. my next guess would be a chromed out rg with a new name and pricetag.

Same thing the Tour Glide riders said 11 years ago, and more recently the Wide Glide owners, and the FXR owners. If it rides real nice Harley don't want it in the lineup. If it doesn't pose correctly it will be banished to the history books.

yeah ive heard all of the same things that you guys have said. from what it sounds like, they are going to keep the idea of the road glide, just change a couple things on design or parts and give it a new name and throw it back into the mix. shouldnt be a big deal

but if anyone wants to get rid of their rg... id love to have it!
