as i will describe the details of and post pics at another time, i recently had 16" cyclesmiths bars installed at a local customs shop that i will never again visit nor recommend any1 visit EVER! when i got it back, my cruise control didnt and still doesnt engage. during a phone conversation that let them know how i pissed i was (for this and other reasons ill discuss later) and how "annoyed" he was of me, he threw out the possibility that the cruise maybe has to be "reset". since i will never again leave them with my bike, i was wondering if this is a job i could do myself or should i just take it to the dealership.

has anyone done this before?
is it simply hitting a reset button?

i tested the button myself and already confirmed that the actual button works so im hoping that all it takes is "reseting"

If I understand correctly the cruise light turns green but it just doesn't engage? If so the servo may be disconnected. On my 05 it's down around the intake. Not sure if it is the same place on a FLHX. Check your service manual. I did the same thing when I installed my bars...I forgot to hook it back up.

 

no thats not it. when im at speeds on the highway, i turn the cruise button on (the dash button) and the light on my tach turns on (red). then i hit the set button on my handle bar, and nothing happens!! the light just stays red!
