Default Dunlop E III (MU90-16) on 08 Touring

Are there any issues with running the Dunlop E III in size MU90-16 on my 08 Touring which calls for a MU85B16?

Dunlop does not offer the correct size .

TIA

The MU90-16 should be fine. From what I've read on this forum it is only a small fraction of an inch taller than the MU-85-16 and close to a direct replacement. I will be ordering one for my 07 Ultra tomorrow. From what I've seen in reviews, they seem to be much better than the 402's.

It's fine, in fact it's perfect. It will also make your speed/odo near exact.

I'm leaning that way too. Or the 160?
Believe it or not I rode with you for a ways on the Dragon two weekends ago, saw your derby cover in the pics from the ride. I was riding a black Ultra with wood inserts. We were movin pretty good!

The MU90's are .01" taller and .06" wider than the stock MU85's. This is an insignificant change too small to affect anything, including speedometer accuracy.

i used the mu90-16 on my 08 streetglide as per information reading icklicks comments, and couldn't be happier. there is 1/8" clearance between the fat part of the sidewall of the tire to the right side of the fender behind the right saddlebag. others claim that you can run another size which is a bout half inch wider, but i don't see how. and if you run the elite 3 tire, you no longer will have that drunk wiggle in the back end on rain grooves, what a relief that was. overall, it's the tire harley should have put on all their touring bikes. the stock 402's suck. by the way, they claim 30% more tire mileage on the e3's. dennis kirk was the cheapest i found at 111 bux +5 for shipping. for the rear.

I just got both tires from this place for $220.90 with FREE shipping. Great price and SUPER FAST shipping. A friend of mine turned me on to this place. He installs tires for all his friends and buys all their tires here.

I tried a search but didn't come up. I remember riding with you, until I got caught where I couldn't get around. Wish we could have made the whole run, it's hard to find people who like to run that quick.
