i'm thinking about getting rid of my 06 road king standard for either the street glide or the ultra.

The reason being is I want that front fairing as opposed to the road king windshield...... If i buy the street glide i will pay extra for the rear tourpack but will only use it on occassion......

what are the other differences between the SG and the ULTRA? Anyone know if either bike will be offered with a bigger motor or a 6th speed for 2007?

why not buy the fairing for your road glide ? There is a detachable fairing made for it. Not sure who has it but someone in here does.

 

I'd be weary of the SG until they have worked through all of the factory issues.

One is cooler than the other, only you can decide which it is? Stay young, go with the X factor. 07's...???...gonna have to wait a while there.

 

Because the SG is all new form the ground ujp, so it has alot of issues that other bikes dont!!!! [sm=dontgetit.gif]

 

How would the Ultra look once the tour pack is removed compared to the street glide -- is it much bulkier?

 

There are no more issues with a Streetglide, than any other 06' Glide. New from the ground up???? The only difference is the styling!!!! Ultra is the same bike, with extra chrome trim.

 

Ahhh.. I havent researched glide in general, only the Street. I wasnt aware glides in general have the issues..

You tell me. Is bulky a bad thing? I like the fairing lowers, spot lamps up front and the saddle bag guards because it gives it a big look. I like to think of it as my vivid black battle cruiser.
