I replaced the fixed ones on my '07 Ultra Classic with the Kuryakyn adjustable ones (Dragonwings). On hot So Cal days the extra wind flow is nice.

Thanks for all the replies. This forum is great. Think I'll take them off for a couple of rides. If its too much wind, I'll put 'em back on. Thanks again.

Just wondering, seems like more trouble than just opening them up. That's what their designed for, and when I keep mine open, I get the wind and it's a very unlucky bug that gets hit.

Bill,

I've never been to fond of the looks of the wings. This is also my first bike with a fairing, so that alone is a big wind reduction for me.

Thanks, that makes sense. Hope it works out for you, and welcome to the sofa side. :-)

Everyone that has installed the new "08 adjustable wings on an e-glide that was made before '08 hang your head in shame. It clearly states in the accessorie catalog they don't fit any fairing other than the '08 or '09. Take them off and go buy/trade for an '08 or '09. $5,000-$10,000 plus trade for adjustable wind deflectors seems perfectly resonable.

On a serious note...I never found a set of adjustable wings I liked until the '08/'09 model so I kept my non-adjustable wings. Took them off in the summer and installed in the fall. The idea of using adjustable wings to deflect air towards the rider never occurred to me. Really like the look and functionality of the '08/'09 model. And they say old dogs can't learn new tricks.

The '08/'09 model can be made to fit any eglide all the way back to at least '99.

Added them to my EGC and love 'em. I'm sure you will have no problem selling them if you take them off.
