Default Rush Slip On Mufflers for 09 Street Glide 2.0" or 2.25"

I am considreing adding a set of Rush slip on exhaust mufflers to my 2009 street glide. I want loud, deep, harley sound but don't want to quite drown out my radio completely. Should I go with 2.0" baffles or 2.25"? Can I get more sound and not drown out my radio with even bigger baffles? Just need some opinions. Thanks in advance for the information.

I have the 2.0's on my Ultra and I think they are just right. I can still here the radio and the wife does not complain. I have a friend that has the 2.25's on his Electra Glide and he is swapping them out due to them being to loud. Hope this helps!

I had 2.25s on my EG Classic & just swapped 'em out for 2.5s. I like loud, but it's a real nice deep loud --- not at all obnoxious loud. No question, a "legal" loud roar. I think it's the "just right" roar that you'd expect to hear from a touring bike. It's not 150% louder than the 2.0s, or anything like that. On a scale of 1 to 10 (10 being the loudest thing you ever heard on a Dyna, or something like that) I think the 2.25s were a 5 & the 2.5s might be a 6 or 7. It's just right for me. (I'd give stock a 2)

Thanks Geezr for the info. I pick up my Nightster when I get back home and ordered the Rush 2.25's. I've been told they're too loud so to be safe, I ordered a set of the 2.0 baffles (since you can swap out baffles in Rush's). I'll try out the 2.25's and if they're too loud I'll throw in the 2.0's. I like the deep tone from what I've heard on all the clips with the 2.25's.

Do you have a radio on that EG Classic? If so, do the 2.25" or 2.5" drown out the radio. I like it loud! But would hate to totally drown on the radio.

The 2in. may perform a little better with a stock to mildly modified motor.

Yes I do. I listen to an ipod 99.999999% of the time. Have Hogtunes speakers, speaker pod, and amp. The pipes are behind me so it really doesn't affect the speakers, except that I'm never satisfied anyway! I can hear my tunes at highway speed, but nothin's gonna make a stereo as good as what's in your car. Doing Firecap's group buy ARC upgrade.

2.25 on mine... stock radio and mp3 player. Just got back from 3 day 1000 mile trip yesterday. Neither one of us had any trouble hearing tunes the entire trip.
