Default What brands of brake pads are considered the best.

Should I stay with stock HD pads? I need the put new pads on the rear of my road king. Actually I need to also put new pads and shoes on my old Yamaha too, and I was just wondering what brands of pads are considered the better ones.
Also what type of pads you guys have had the best luck with, metallic, ceramic, etc.
Funny......I've had my Yamaha Maxim 23 years, this will be its first set of new pads and shoes. It only has 9500 miles on it and it looks like the day I bought it.
I've had my RKC 11 months and have already put 11,000 miles on it. It really is a whole other world of riding.

I think the Lyndall Z+ are the best pads out there.

I put Lyndall Z+ pads on the front of my Ultra about 5000 miles ago and am well pleased with braking and lack of brake dust. I just put new Lyndall Z+ pads on the back and the verdict is still out. More dust, lack of braking, and some squelling. Maybe they just need more breakin time.

I'll agree on the Lyndall z. Quiet, little dust.

I went with EBC organics because I have chromed rotors. The HD pads were too brutal on the finish. The organics stop well for me, easy on the rotors and less dust than stock pads. www.ebcbrakes.com

I just picked up a set of Lyndalls based on the recommendation of the local parts shop. They said that they all run them, and some of them have 16k miles on them - and still running.

I have 10k on my HD stock pads, and they're ready to be replaced.
