Default Help locating part

I know this may be a long shot, but I figure if there's a place where I can get any info is this.

I have several covers from the HD MoCo color collection on my bike, including the gas cap medallion. Because I have the regular style gauge, I can't put a matching medallion on the gauge. I came across these pics on the web the other day of the matching HDMoCo gauge medallion with window, and have since been searching high and low for one or a part number to go to my dealer but I can't find a single piece of info.

Do any of you guys know a part number for this? Local dealer has no clue...

Click here There is a search engine out there called Google … try that.

Opps … that is the same place you got your pictures from. Might want to scarf up on that one before someone else does. Timm

This may be a dumb question, but did you try the part number printed on the label of the part in your picture ?

What the seller has listed on eBay on this pic is a gauge from a fat Bob, and it has the cover/medallion on it. I messaged the seller to see if he wants to sell just the medallion but don't have an answer yet.

Boy that exploded right in your face didn't it? Lol
Thanks man, I use google a lot, and do my own research before I come on here posting a question.
Trust me, I googled this to death and emailed my parts department with zero luck, just as if the part never existed.

Is the item in your photos for sale? If so don't delay - buy it!

I've had plenty of experience of looking for rare parts - in some cases the search proves successful pretty soon, but sometimes it can take a long time. Be patient - but be very quick!

That may be a gas cap medallion that was carefully cut to fit over the gas gauge. Zoom in on the picture, and you can see how the top gauge cutout isn't perfectly flat, and on the left it almost looks like there's file marks.
