Default Bagger Brothers BBGT-001 7.2 Gal Tank

Anyone actually used this tank? I ordered it. It arrived. It looks big. It does look good tho. No dents at all. Cannot actually compare to 2006 FLHTCUI tank as the bike is at the dealer for a legend suspension upgrade. Also hoping if my current Mustang seat works on it (bought back in 2007 or so).

The dimensions listed on the order say it is 31x21x13 with 7.2 gallon capacity.

I measured the crossover to the outlet at about 9.75 inches. That about factory?

Curious if it will be to wide for the bars to be turned lock to lock?

Will the accessory plug/ cigarette lighter on the left side of the fairing hit the tank?

If it going to fit well... will be nice to have the additional fuel for safety. Plus will be able to run the same time as buddies on the 6 gal tanks with the new bikes.

Will be taking it get it pressure tested. See if it is sealed well. Then have it sealed inside and primed until I am ready to test it on the bike and paint it.

That's a lot of questions that I probably would have asked the manufacturer prior to buying. I hope it all works out though, extra fuel capacity is always a plus in my book.

I wouldn't do anything to the tank till you test fit it. That way if it isn't what you want you can still return it. Otherwise you get to keep it regardless.....

Have you fitted the tank yet on the bike? I was looking to get this for my 04, wanted to know if it was worth it or not.

They do say you’ll have to modify your seat.

I’d test fit it before going any further, but that’s me.

I like it. I received it and took it in to get pressure tested. The shop said it was fine after pressure testing. The tank was lined at the same time. (Pressure test and lined $250 CDN) Then it took it to a body shop to get it primed ($150 CDN) to keep it from rusting. They said the tank looked pretty good. Will not need much for paint. FYI, bought it on AMAZON, delivered to my house in Toronto. $500 CDN. Pretty good deal.

I had it at the dealership today. It fits very well. My Mustang seat will need a little trimming on the front of it. But over all fits pretty good.

Issues: The cross over lines need to be rerouted. Right side of bike it points directly at the coil. Left side just needs a little movement. Small dent on top. Will be hidden by the dash anyway when installed so not to worried about it. The fuel outlet is a little closer to the front of the bike then stock. So will either need to reroute the fuel line or have a custom one made. Will see when I have a better look at it later.

Where did you get your seat modified? Or did you find a seat to fit. The places I used on my last seat wanted $1,000 to fit the seat to the tank.
