Well. I noticed a small messy oil leak all over my crossover pipe about a week ago. It started after a day when I ran the bike pretty hard - sustained 90 mph for a couple of hours on the highway for two days. Maybe had something to do with it, maybe not.
Anyways, I tried taking some pics, but they aren't so great, so here goes. After cleaning the bike up, I found this is where I'm seeing oil:
- rear cylinder, above the exhaust pipe
- it is on the back of the chrome rocker cover - there's a lip and a "gap" under the rocker cover directly where the exhaust pipe comes out of the head
- that is where my oil is leaking out of
Here are my questions - there are two gaskets, yes? Rocker "base" or something like that, and the rocker cover gasket. Should I take the whole damned thing apart and change both, or just the rocker cover gasket?
My riding season is drawing to a close here in the Great White North anyways. Thank-you for the advice. Oh yes, bike is a 2007 Ultra.

Sure it didn't come out of the air cleaner after riding 90 mph for a few hours?
But to answer your questions, there are two gaskets...rocker cover and rocker box. If you change them you have to pull the tank so take the time to put a quick connect on your fuel line for easier future pulls. Herko sells a great one. I'd also drill out the rocker support holes with a #41 drill bit like Doherty's system does to help with better oil return. Can also reroute your breathers.

Thanks for the advice. I did indeed think it at first came from the breather, but I just got back from a more sedate weekend ride of about 4 hours each way, and it's leaking again from just above the manifold.
