I haven't noticed any increased noise with mine.

I may stick with the 402s...my front probably has several thousand left and I don't like using different tread patterns front and rear....Front 402 E3 rear.

I was ready to go with E3s even with tread left on the front.

Now I am thinking back to the 402 sww which has been good to me for the rear only replacement.

I thought maybe i had a bad set of tires. But now i see that this may be common with the E3s. Ill see if i can put up with the noise a little while longer, but as one poster said, on a long trip it would get quite annoying IMO.

SKULMN your D402's are differant tread pattern front and rear.
