You don't need a map, if you aren;t changing the breather.

I'd think he is right too, esp if you don't do a Stage 1 breather because the pipes already get alot hotter than other model years because of the CAT in the pipes on the '10s. Also I heard the SE and it wasn't much loader than stock to me. No way I'd buy it.

Your dealer is trying to screw you. You DO NOT need a map update for just a slip on muffler. When you go to changing head pipes and intakes you need to update the ECU, but not with just a slip on muffler.

I agree with Cyphilis.
Check with another dealer.
And ask the first one why you would need to change the mixture, if your not adding more air with breather that flows more air.
The problem probably is a untrained employee that doesn't have a clue what goes on in the back shop.

Fuel moto guy right here on these forums said you don't need to remap with a slip-on. He makes pipes and mufflers, has a dyno, and HAS been testing on bikes. I would take his word over any dealers word.

The consensus seems to be that I don't need to do anything besides add the slip ons. The only reason I might do a stage I is that the dealer is giving me 25% off all parts and labor for anything I do before I pick up the bike. So with that in mind, I may just do a little more than just add the slip ons. Otherwise, I wouldn't.

I had my dealer do the download for $150 plus tax. My buddy had his bike done for $150 plus tax PLUS a 1/2 hour labor charge at $110 per hour at another dealer.

Watch out, some of them try to rob you blind.

No new high flow intake = No need for download.

Be advised, you need the high-flow intake and download. The bike rides SO much better once it's breathing more freely. It really makes quite a difference. If you're getting 25% you should do the whole thing. It's a lot cheaper with our 1/2 exhausts anyway.
