Default Backrest adjustment FLHTCUI

Can someone please give me some help. I purchased a 2007 ultra classic about a month ago from a private party and a rider backrest came with it. I put the backrest on no trouble, then came the adjustment lever. I looked all over and cannot find where it mounts. I look in the service manual and it does not mention a rider backrest at all. Any ideas thanks

I've read that if it's the one with the adjustable cable it mounts on the right side below the seat and above the rear exhaust. I think if you do a search on this site you will find some help. hutch

If it's the hydraulic one the lever should fit to the frame just under the front part of the seat. If you have heat shields installed thats the area.

if you are sitting on the bike, place your left hand just below the seat, the trigger is right there, pulll lightly and let your back push the seat back or forth where you want it, the height adjustment is on the back of the seat, it is a button behind the fabric...
