I have a 2005 FLHP-I better known as a police road king. I recently put chrome sliders on it. I have a manual and according to info this bike should have cartridge type forks, but the picture view doesn't agree. I have the fork plugs on top with the fork stops on the tree, when I looked at the non-cartridge type, well thats what mine looks like, so I proceeded to follow these instructions as well as a post from this forum, installing chrome sliders. The problem I am having is when I get on the bike the front end settles a bit, but seems mushy. I put 11.1 oz. of e type fork oil in it and even put a couple of more ounces in after, and it rode like a rigid, I drained that back out and am back to mushy. Does anyone have any ideas on this police bike? does harley put these together for the police? I can't find any other info on this, anyone know where I can get an official 2005 FLHP-I police bike manual? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I bought the touring service manual & the police supplement manual for my 04 FLHTPI ,dont know if there are any differences between 04 &05 ,but would gladly look up what you need for info in my service manuals.

what exactly do you need to know?
