Just changed the oil in my roadking for the first time. The manual says put in 3 1/2 quarts, did that and took it for a ride to heat it up and check the oil level. Checked the oil level and it's reading mid-level on the stick. Should'nt it be reading full when hot?

 

That is where I keep mine, less oil in the air filter for me.

 

Full capacity is 4 quarts. I believe the manual tells you to put in 3.5, ride, check, and add if needed. Been dumping in 4 quarts for 10 years now with no troubles.
