Default How many run just 21" wheel and no matching for street glide

I was looking at rims for my 08 SG and wanted to know how many people run the 21" up front and leave the stock rim on the rear?

Alot of people do. I was thinking about it but went front and rear and glad I did. Its true the bag hides some of it, but not all of it.

Some people run a 16" on the rear to keep the softer ride for two up and some manufacturers make 16/21 matching wheels.19" seems to be catching on for the front also.

I had thought about doing just the front, until I actually saw a couple of bikes that had done it. There is more of the rear rim exposed than you think, at least it appears that way when it does not match the front.

+1 on that you don't notice the rear wheel when it matches the front. When it doesn't match the front it is all you see

This is so true. If you want to save money and not buy a rear rim, you could have it painted black so you couldn't see anything. Otherwise everytime you look at your bike, you will see that there are two different rims.

I had not thought of painting the rear rim black, that would probably help a lot. Still don't know if it would be enough to keep your eye from going right to it though.
