Default Reach Seat for Road King

I have a 2010 Road King. I am only 5'7". I have installed the low profile shocks and they did help some. I have switched the stock seat to the Sundowner seat. It is comfortable. However, I still am not real comfortable setting on the bike, height wise. My question is this. Has anyone here put on the reach seat with the low profile shocks and if so did it help with the height? P.S. Love the Road King.

07fatboycustom - I have a 2010 Road King on order (February delivery) and I too am 5'7". I am considering the Reach handlebars. Do you think that would make a difference as far as the ride is concerned? I know it won't help with the bike height, but just curious.

I've got an o4 road king and I installed a reach seat. I also changed out the handle bars to bring them closer to me. Best move I've done with the bike. I'm 5' 9" and I didn't have to lower the bike. I did it mainly for the back support for my lower back. With the stock seat I was only good for about 75 miles or so, with the reach seat I can go well over 150 miles without stopping.

What's your inseam? I'm the same height as you on the same bike but with the stock suspension and a Sunray seat (same shape as the Sundowner I believe). 30" inseam and no prob getting the ***** of my feet down on both side when wearing HD's FXRG 3 boots. The bike is very well balanced and I have no issues controlling it.

I recommend you try wear a riding boot with a good heel on it before buying another seat.

Thanks for the suggestion on riding boots. I may give that a try in addition to the reach seat if others have positive input on it.

I'm 5' 6" lowered my roadking 1" , got reach seat , hertage bars. I can reach the ground in sneekers. The reach seat after 10,000 miles in no longer comfortable, thinking about having jell pad installed. But I do like the way it holds your butt in place.

See if you can sit on a reach seat first. I had one for abought 10 miles and hated it. Sundowner is the way to go if you can come up with a better lowering option.
