I'm having the same problem as the starter of this post, can't decide on what air cleaner cover. So far I was thinking about getting a harley nostalgic air cover and have it painted. I just can't decided on what to do.
Linky no worky. Where did you get the AC cover you posted about earlier in this thread?

This looks awesome, but GLASS!!!! I believe with all of the vibration it would crack inside of a week, but it looks good.
After reading about it on the website I get the impression this isn't glass as we are use to thinking about. I like the uniqueness of it. When I get done with getting my bikes to the functional level I want and start looking at doing dress up this will be in the top 5 things I look at doing.

There's a member here by the name of "NightKing". He does some very good custom painting for very reasonable prices.
I really like the look of several breathers you guys have posted. I do wonder though how much of a problem the exposed air cleaner is when it rains while parked or riding. As a rule I try to avoid the rain but when going on a trip I don't want to be concerned about rain.
Do the nylon air cleaner rain socks work well or do they restrict the breathing heavily? Not that you are looking to make gobs of power in the rain, but do they fulfill both functions well or do they saturate after a while and become useless.
I don't want the air cleaner to be impractical for every day use at the expense of looking good and performing well.

As you can (almost) see in my sig pic, I had a 'Live to Ride/Ride to Live' insert in my football a/c which fit perfectly after switching over to the S/E HP a/c. Still looking for something more unique tho. Sorry, I haven't taken any recent photos as yet...
My wife didn't like her football cover, so we switched to a plain chrome round cover. She then found a belt buckle she liked, and I machined the back of it to fit the cover. She now has a one of a kind cover. Belt buckle was 10 bucks, and the plain chrome cover wasn't much. Don and Pam
Like Dawg said... here is my round cover from a Crossbones with a touch of skull.
