Default apes on a glide higher than the fairing?

i am a big guy and have an 09 flhx and want apes, problem is i want to go with 16's , i would like to see some pics of glides with apes above the fairing. thanks alot

If you go to google images and type in something like "street glide with apes" a lot of pics come up. That will probably give you an idea.

I hope to ride a bike with decent sized apes some day just to see what the buzz is about. Up until that time.... it dosn't seem to make sense in any aspect. Decreased control, hands above the fairing (cold), impaired blood flow, etc.

Who knows, upon trying same I may love it but it seems all about style with huge negatives to safety and comfort factors.

Set me straight guys.... what have I missed.

But to each his own.

go and just sit on one... and if ya know someone thats got em ask if a spin is possible. its truly shocking.
