You say that you have a PCV? Did you get it from FM?
If so, they might be able to assist.
What temp do you consider to be overheating?
Do you have a oil temp gauge on it?
Does it have a dealer stage 1 put in the ECM?
Just asking, cause I'm about ready to embark on the same path.
I was hoping that the PCV would take care of the stage 1 download, as I think that $150 is a little high for any down load that should come for free.
If so, they might be able to assist.

I assume you have a heat management system on your bike. It activates (if its turned on) at 279-280 degrees. I was told if your running synthetic oil your OK until 300 degrees. My 09 RKS has been ridden hard in southern summer heat and I have never seen anything over 260 degrees. And the PCV dropped the oil temperature 20 degrees when it was installed. The heat management system has only activated once when stuck in traffic in a construction zone. And I have 20,000 miles on mine.

From another forum:
During hot idle, or when the motorcycle is off-throttle and running at hot temperatures, EITMS shuts off fuel to the engine’s rear cylinder, leaving it to idle on the front cylinder only. Without combustion, the rear cylinder and exhaust header will begin to cool, bringing relief to the rider (and passenger) soon after. Once the rear cylinder cools to a predetermined temperature, or as soon as the rider accelerates, both cylinders resume operation. And by maintaining constant rpm during rear cylinder “shutdown,” transitions between one and two cylinder operation are nearly seamless.
EITMS is purely for rider comfort. When it activates and “shuts off” the rear cylinder, it’s not because the motor is overheating. It’s designed to reduce the heat radiating from the rear cylinder to the rider.

It has happened twice in less than 3 weeks. It happened yesterday, temps outside were around 70 degrees. I'm taking it in to the dealer when I find time, cuz I'm sure they will need to keep it a few days. It is still under warranty so I'm not too worried. Only changes I have made are Vance/Hines Oval Slip-ons, air cleaner and Power Commander......Any reason for the overheating? I'm thinking something to do with oil circulation, because I have been complaining about the constant ticking, which is getting louder.
This map seems to match your setup:
M15-003-007 *Advanced map*, Vance & Hines basic slip-ons, Screamin Eagle air filter, Stock ECM, Rev Xtend enabled, Table 1 is front cylinder
