Thumbs up Odyssey for many years

The OEM Harley battery in my 2006 FLHRCI lasted 2 1/2 years. Bought an Odyssey PC925 in August 2008 before a ride from Florida to Sturgis. I still have this battery almost 8 years and 60k more miles and it is still running strong. I do keep a tender on it but ride 12 months/year in Maryland so if it sits more than a day or 2 I hook it up. I am ordering another one now because I know this thing has to die soon. But it was well worth the premium price!

Anybody with a battery that lasts as long as this thread, has got their money's worth.
My original battery started getting weak after 4 years, replaced with a Duracell from Batteries Plus, still cranking...

I see this is an old thread someone else brought out of the archives,but what the heck,i'll bite too!/LOL!!!

The best 2 replacement factory activated AGM bike batteries mfg'd in USA (PA.) for the money on the market today with proven reliability & strong cranking power are:

*Deka's ETX30L / 400CCA's (also mfg'd under mult other names) for approx $97.99 (lists for $149) to your door from Hightech battery online.

* Yuasa's GYZ32HL / 500CCA's for $132 (lists for $200+) to your door from PhatPerf parts online.

HD's OEM AGM repl battery (ETX30L type battery) for our touring bikes is spec'd @ 385CCA's.

There are cheaper batteries avail with same or higher CCA's that are mfg'd in China that have yet to earn a proven track record for reliability & long srv'c life like the Deka & Yuasa batteries have been doing for many yrs that are also mfg'd in the USA which is another + too.

BTW,i just bought & installed Yuasa's GYUZ32HL AGM battery with 500CCA in my 09 w-96" motor and that battery spins the motor over considerably faster then the prior battery did when it was new.

When i tested CCA's of the Yuasa battery it showed a over 600CCA's ,but that was with battery in 60deg F temp & battery should be @ " 0 " deg f when testing CCA's and at 32deg f when testing CA's

Maybe they upped the CCA's but the stock HD battery that came in my 2014 FLHTK has 405 CCA's.

Like you said they must have changed the CCA spec for your 2014 because it was 385CCA's for older large FLH touring bikes like my 09 FLHTCU that uses the larger ETX30L type battery that i am ref too.
