yesterday from my friend's FLHXS 2020 Euro 4 model, I put Screamin egle street canyon on my FLHXS 2022 Euro 5 model. Since the Euro 4 Muffler is without a gasket, it was necessary to remove the gasket from mine (No. 41 and 42 in the picture) in order for the muffler to be fixed with a headpipe (No. 33 in the picture). While we were removing and installing the gasket, it was damaged. As it was made in the shape of a strip, we had to unwind one circle to be able to install the exhaust. Now it is tight but not enough because the joint is not tight.
My question is: new gasket have been ordered and I am interested in how to install them without damaging them? Whether to put the gasket in the muffler or headpipe or something else beforehand.

Those same gaskets are used on the new Heritage, and they slip into the muffler. Then slide the muffler onto the headpipe.
